"Drinking Whiskey While I Cry" Video

The official video for "Drinking Whiskey While I Cry" is finally here.  Recorded in Jimmy's brother David Gray's cabin on a hot summer night, warm incandescent lights glowing to set the somber mood.  Also featured in this video is Jimmy's wife Lauren Gray, cousin Lee Lamontagne, and long time friend Nathan Simard.  This song goes out to Jackson Penney.  Lee, Nathan, and Jackson all played in the NH band Steel Sorrow.

About the upcoming album "Hittin' The Road"

"Hittin' The Road" will be released ASAP - here's a bit about it.  It's  bluegrass, country, and Americana, featuring a variety of different instruments.  Many of the songs were written by Jimmy, but many were also a collaboration between Jimmy and Nathan "Slug" Simard.  The two played together in their high school band Short Term Memory.  The collaboration adds a new flavor to the songs and the album is captivating from beginning to end.

Featured on vocals, acoustic guitar, upright bass, and mandolin is Jimmy.  His wife Lauren sings harmonies on most of the songs, with the occasional lead as well.  Nathan Simard plays banjo, mandolin, and dobro.  Jimmy's brother David plays acoustic guitar and accordion.  Aaron Labonville plays harmonica and accordion.  Greg Cote and Jeff Bennett play acoustic leads,  and Greg also plays the 12 string guitar.  Greg's girlfriend Katelyn Haggerty plays saxophone.  Matt Costanzo plays drums.

The recording was mostly done with a mobile setup, which allowed tracking in unlikely spots, such as a camp in the woods in Milan, NH and a historic house in Portsmouth, NH.  Everyone involved had a lot of fun with the recordings, and it shows on the album.  Stay tuned for a release date!
