James R. Gray Press Kit

James R. Gray is a singer/songwriter from the mountains of New Hampshire.  His style is a northern Appalachian variety of classic American music.  Jimmy has a deep catalog of original songs, and also covers many songs written by his heroes.  It's easy to hear his influences, ranging from such country greats as Hank Williams, Johnny Cash, Marty Robbins, and Kris Kristofferson, to bands like The Beatles, The Band, The Byrds, and Social Distortion.

Jimmy has played many shows as  the guitarist and vocalist in the band Down With Me, but is also just as at home strumming his Martin.  Venues he's played include The Dover Brickhouse (Dover, NH), Fury's Publick House (Dover, NH), The Stone Church (Newmarket, NH), Thirsty Turtle Tavern (Nashua, NH), Chit Chat Lounge (Haverhill, MA), Bungalow Bar And Grill (Manchester, NH), Red Alert Skate Park (Dover, NH), The Press Room (Portsmouth, NH), Hotel Vernon (Worcester, MA), Hennessy's Hooley House (Boston, MA), The Leftfield (New York, NY), Caffe Kilim (Portsmouth, NH), The Cannon Lounge (Rochester, NH), The Plough And Stars (Cambridge, MA), PA's Lounge (Somerville, MA), Tavern At The End Of The World (Charlestown, MA), Town & Country Inn And Resort (Shelburne, NH), and a handful of festivals, function halls, and house shows.
